152 MILES ACROSS ENGLAND BY SUP - JUNE 2010
To celebrate World Oceans Day and encourage people to get on the water and appreciate their Blue environment, Dave and world-record breaking ocean rower Sarah Outen Stand Up Paddleboarded 152 miles between Bath and London in June 2010.
Dave and Sarah were paddling as ambassadors for the Blue Project, a Climate & Oceans initiative that shares the belief that sport is a great way to encourage a passion for the environment. Blue have a marvellous project called The Blue Mile, which is simply a mile travelled on or beside the water. During Bath2London Dave and Sarah were joined by over one hundred paddlers, cyclists and walkers.
One year after arriving under Tower Bridge and finishing the journey at HMS President, Sarah started her famous London to London Via The World circumnavigation from the very same point.
